This tasting was AWESOME! I am a huge fan of the mint julep now and before this never even understood what it was. It is yummy and served up perfectly by Melodie. Fun, fun tasting.

So bummed I missed this one. But I will add, Bonds official Martini is the Vesper, which uses Gin and Vodka, the best of both worlds. He did do wonders for the Martini!

Kathleen rocked the house with her tasting! It was so educational and lots of fun.
Great choices on the vodka, tasted so many new ones that I’ve never even seen before – it was great. LOVED the XO I highly recommend it for a sipping vodka, it was fabulously smooth!

I would agree with Lance, the aromas were to be enjoyed as much as the drink itself. These would make lovely summertime spritzers, mixed with soda or 7up for a sweeter sip!

I love Irish Whiskey (now). Nice job Lance, my fav. was the Jameson. Very smooth and sippable!

I think that too sometimes but then I have a different take on it. We have exposed ourselves to a large volume of different individual spirits over the past year and a half – over 75? 80? 85?

I’m thinking for my next tasting I might forego the selection of 5 and opt for 1 or 2 extreme selections – rarity, top shelf, reputation being the deciding factors. Focus more on food pairings, complimentary spirits, cigars, etc.

Who knows, I still feel like a newbie to this huge, incredible world.

i am a fan of the pre-sample. (and drinking in general) it would seem as the host you would want to have generated an opinion prior to the meeting.
